Saint Paul Public Library
About
The St. Paul Library, which is a combined school/city library, completed in August 1998, is the result of cooperation among three separate entities: the St. Paul Library Foundation, the City of St. Paul, and the St. Paul School District. The Foundation proposed the idea of a “joint-use” library to the city and school and raised private funds to build the library at a site on Howard Avenue adjacent to the school. The city and school share operational costs. A Library Board, half appointed by the city and half appointed by the school, governs the new library, which operates under a inter-local agreement.
