Incentives

OPPD can provide the most up-to-date information on local and state incentives available to new and expanding industry, including industry eligibility, threshold investment, job-creation requirements and tax credits.

Nebraska has a strong and growing economy and offers a well-trained and highly skilled workforce. We also recognize the importance of creating job opportunities for the next generation.

The OPPD Economic Development team offers extensive site-selection assistance and can customize the necessary information that will give you the ability to make a timely decision.

Energy Audits

A manufacturing company located in Nebraska is eligible for exemption from sales tax paid on electricity, provided at least 51% of the energy consumed is used in the manufacturing process. If you are a manufacturer or will be establishing an operation within OPPD’s service area, our Economic Development team can help with the required energy assessment.
