The Farm/Ranch Succession and Transfer Education of UNL Extension is in place recognizing that there will be a significant asset/farm business exchange happening over the next few years across Nebraska. The base training provided includes information about: Importance of having an estate plan, communications and negotiation for a successful transfer (family communications is emphasized), the phases of transfer to the next generation, and considerations equitable asset transfers.
Advanced training includes basic legal education for end of life documents and possible business structures and tools used for asset transfer.
