Maverick Venture Fund – University of Nebraska Omaha

The Maverick Venture Fund is an early-stage venture fund at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

The Maverick Venture Fund invests seed capital into startups. A student venture board researches, recommends and monitors several investments of $1,000 to $10,000+ under the supervision of local venture capitalists who train the students in the art of startup investing. Companies in the pre-prototype, prototype development phase, and pre-revenue are well suited for this fund. The Maverick Venture Fund currently has eight companies in its portfolio and makes approximately 3-5 investments a year.
