We extend a heartfelt invitation to explore the communities of Central City and Grand Island to be inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit, shop the must-have items and come away reassured that the American dream is alive and well.

The agenda

• 8 a.m. – Gather at the Innovation Center, 2311 14th St., for a cinnamon roll and coffee. Amazing opportunities happening in Columbus will be shared by Scott Mueller, Columbus In Action; Nicole Saalfeld, Barrel House; and Kelli Faltys, CCC E-ship Center.
• 8:45 a.m. – Depart for Central City.
• 9:30 a.m. – Arrive at Wild Roots Greenhouse & Market, an expanding nursery that has become an impressive destination known statewide for its community involvement and beautiful flowers and plants.
• 10:15 p.m. – Depart for Grand Island
• 11 a.m. – Explore downtown Grand Island. Experience the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of such small businesses as a trendy clothing boutique, a home décor store with unexpected finds, a store filled with much loved books that are recycled and repurposed, an impressive art gallery along with established antique stores, a recently opened lush plant store and more.
• 1 p.m. – Lunch at the Chocolate Bar (downtown Grand Island). A delicious lunch served in a cool vibe atmosphere.
• 2 p.m. – Board bus for Prairie Creek Vineyard and Winery.
• 3 p.m. – Three Central City family members started on ambitious journeys to revitalize their community by establishing Prairie Creek Vineyard and Winery, Wild Roots Greenhouse & Market and The Dentist. Enjoy a charcuterie board and a glass of wine is available at your expense.
• 4 p.m. – Travel back to Columbus with a new appreciation of the entrepreneurial spirit found in Nebraska.

The fee includes transportation, a homemade cinnamon roll and coffee, lunch at The Chocolate Bar, and a charcuterie board at Prairie Creek Vineyard and Winery.

The registration deadline is March 18.
