In 2019, Nebraska passed a bill (LB 304) allowing individuals to sell homemade foods already authorized for sale at farmers’ markets directly to consumers at the producer’s home, fairs, festivals, other public events or online for pick-up or delivery—all within the state of Nebraska.
About
As of September 1, 2019, a person may prepare and sell food that is:
•NOT Time/Temperature Control for Safety Food directly to the consumer
•At a public event
•For pick up or delivery
•In the mail
•Without obtaining a food establishment permit
