Kaneko – UNO Creativity Library
About
The KANEKO-UNO creativity library opened in 2009 as a partnership between KANEKO and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Designed by architects Mark Mack (Mack Architect(s)) and Bill Stott (Architectural Offices), the library is an open space for research and exploration.
Built for the 21st century, the KANEKO-UNO Library incorporates traditional library materials with state-of-the-art electronic technology and is specially designed to encourage creative exploration and endeavor, to facilitate the understanding and expression of creativity in a myriad of ways.
The library is a place that offers a research scientist, a business leader, a teacher, a visual artist, or an aspiring student an opportunity to tap into something they might not find in their daily environment. The KANEKO-UNO Library focuses its attention on stimulating creativity, on what will help people widen their view and open their sights.
The library also has a dedicated space for Kids! KIDSpace at the K-UNO Library offers children’s books on exhibition themes, fun engineering challenges, thoughtfully curated child-centric films, and sketching options geared towards an interactive, hands-on exploration of creativity in a relaxed environment.
