Ravenna Public Library

Public libraries are learning centers that provide information for residents to meet their personal, educational, and professional needs, including access to print materials, internet, and technology. A makerspace is available to create and learn.


MISSION STATEMENT: To serve the ever-changing needs of the Ravenna community and surrounding area through services, technology, materials, and programming.

GOALS: The Ravenna Public Library strives to meet the following goals:

  1. Provide materials, programming and services that meet the needs of patrons of all abilities.

  2. Provide guidance and assistance to borrowers.

  3. Initiate programming and activities for all ages to stimulate the use of the library and its materials.

  4. Select, organize, and make available necessary books and materials.

  5. Cooperate with, but not perform, the functions of the school and other institutional libraries.

The Makerspace at the Ravenna Public Library is a place for community members to make, learn, explore and share new ideas while using high tech or no tech tools which library patrons my not otherwise have access to.

The Makerspace includes a laminator, Cricut 1.0, AccuQuilt Cutter, Serger, Embroidery Machine, Sewing Machine, Iron/Ironing Board, Zing Laser, Vinyl Cutter, and Heat Press.
