Public libraries are learning centers that provide information for residents to meet their personal, educational, and professional needs, including access to print materials, internet, and technology. A makerspace is available to create and learn.

About

The Norfolk Public Library serves the community of Norfolk and the surrounding area in northeast Nebraska.

The Norfolk Public Library serves the community through providing access to information, technology, and lifelong learning opportunities. We also provide a variety of services including providing community meeting spaces, offering classes and programs, and hosting a community MakerSpace. 

The MakerSpace provides public access to high-tech and creative equipment to boost technology skills and creative opportunities for members of our community. The MakerSpace currently offers a 3D Printer, Laser Cutter, Embroidery Machine, Cricut Fabric and Vinyl Cutter, Design Computer, Button Maker, and an AccuCut Die Machine. 

All equipment is available during the library’s normal operating hours from Monday through Saturday. The MakerSpace is closed on Sundays.

Each piece of equipment has its own rules, age limits, and training requirements.
