Beatrice Public Library

Public libraries are learning centers that provide information for residents to meet their personal, educational, and professional needs, including access to print materials, internet, and technology. A makerspace is available to create and learn.

About

The Beatrice Public Library provides a variety of services, including books, DVDs, audio books, free internet search service, periodicals, genealogy and local history collections. Story times, book discussion groups for all ages, locally-produced exhibits, traveling displays, cultural programs reflecting our diverse community — there is something for everyone.

The Beatrice Public Library Makerspace is a collaborative workspace for making, learning, exploring, and sharing. The Makerspace features equipment and programs for a variety of age groups and skill levels. It is open to kids, adults, entrepreneurs, and offers a variety of maker equipment. Makerspaces help to prepare those who need critical 21st-century skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).  They provide hands-on learning, help with critical thinking skills and even boost self-confidence.

Among the equipment available in the Beatrice Public Library Makerspace is a 3D printer, a CNC router, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, heat press, embroidery/sewing machine, camera kit, music kit, soldering kit, laminator, glue gun, and a button maker.

Anyone who visits the library is eligible to use this equipment in-house. No library card is required.

To use the Makerspace, please visit our website to make a reservation.
