Alliance Public Library

Public libraries are learning centers that provide information for residents to meet their personal, educational, and professional needs, including access to print materials, internet, and technology. A makerspace is available to create and learn.

About

The Alliance Public Library is pleased to currently offer every Monday-Friday from 2-5 pm the following Maker Space tools:

How it works:

The library provides access to all of the machines and the catalog of accessories free of charge during library hours. Patrons will need to provide their own project materials such as paper, markers, cutting mats and other craft supplies.

Due to staff schedules, we ask that patrons call in advance to ensure availability if training assistance is needed. Machine training is unavailable on Saturdays.

Patrons must be 12 years of age or older to use the Maker Space. Library cards are required to use the machines. Dies must be checked out at the circulation desk before use.

All patrons must familiarize themselves with the operation and best practices of the machines prior to beginning their projects.  Before using the space, patrons will need to complete a form stating that they understand how to properly use the equipment after which they will be presented with a certification card.

Library staff is available for in person training and troubleshooting as needed; however, we request patrons enter the space ready and willing to learn. Library staff will not be able to complete projects on a patron’s behalf.
