The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program of NBDC is a resource for small business creation and expansion in Nebraska. The Nebraska SBDC offers confidential consulting services to entrepreneurs and small business owners looking to start and grow their enterprises or to transition companies to the next generation of ownership. SBDC consultants are credentialed business advisers with academic degrees and professional certifications. SBDC consulting services are offered at no or low cost to those interested in operating a for-profit business in Nebraska.

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a program of the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC). NBDC is a department of the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha with offices in Omaha, Lincoln, Wayne, Norfolk, Kearney, North Platte, Scottsbluff, and Chadron. Our partners throughout the State include the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Wayne State College, and Chadron State College.

NBDC helps strengthen Nebraska businesses for a healthy economy and prosperous communities. Certified consultants provide confidential, impartial business planning services for established and start-up businesses.

NBDC will help a business develop a business plan as well as detailed financial projections covering three years of operations, information that is essential for successful financing applications.

NBDC can also provide Exit & Succession Planning, as well as low-cost, high-quality business valuation reports for small businesses with values from $100,000 to $10,000,000.
