About
The Nebraska Cooperative Development Center (NCDC) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has provided cooperative based business development since 2009. We are committed to creating sustainable communities in Nebraska where people work together to meet their needs and reach their goals. By working together on a cooperative approach, communities and groups will increase hope for the future.
NCDC assists groups and communities who are exploring or have formed a cooperative business. NCDC can guide a cooperative effort from visioning to implementation. Services include facilitation, providing resources, technical assistance and education.
Cooperative businesses are unique because they are autonomous associations of people united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically controlled enterprise. NCDC works with groups who incorporated or have an interest in forming cooperatives, LLCs and other multi-owner businesses.
