Disaster Education – Nebraska Extension

Disaster education spans across all Extension program areas: learning child; 4-H youth development; food, nutrition and health; cropping and water systems; beef systems; community environment; and community and economic development. No matter the program area, when Nebraskans face disasters and widespread emergencies, they need people and information they can trust to help them make decisions for themselves, their families, their businesses, and their communities.

Our faculty and staff work with a variety of audiences and community partners in many settings to deliver resources and programs. We are positioned to engage in local emergency management planning and to facilitate processes to strengthen relationships among community organizations before disaster strikes.
