The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) within the Department of the Interior serves as an advisor to the Secretary on matters pertaining to small business engagement. The OSDBU collaborates across Department leadership to optimize small business participation in procurement activities. Through policy implementation, process development, and training programs, the OSDBU underscores the Department’s dedication to contracting with small businesses. Outreach efforts target small and disadvantaged business communities, encompassing Indian economic enterprises, disadvantaged, women-owned, veteran-owned, service disabled veteran owned, and historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) small businesses.
