Blueprint Reading Class – NBDC & MCL Construction

NBDC will be facilitating a blueprint reading class on October 16 starting at 5:30. It will be hosted at and instructed by MCL Construction. The address is 14558 Portal Circle, La Vista, NE 68138. Winsley Durand is the contact person for questions about the class. It will run from 5:30 to approximately 8:00.
The class will begin with a discussion of the categories of drawings and the meaning of each line type. Then the major focus will be on interpreting and visualizing orthographic projection. Also covered are auxiliary information on a print (such as the title block and notes), interpreting dimensions, and other special symbols (such as roughness callouts and screw threads). Multiple examples will be provided to show specific applications. Plans and specifications from previous Omaha area projects will be utilized.
The course is free to all participants.
